Data Collection

With the framework in place, attention turns to the collection of data, the lifeblood of any M&E system. LGO employ a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods to gather data on program outputs, outcomes, and impacts. From surveys and questionnaires to interviews and focus group discussions, each data collection effort contributes to a comprehensive understanding of program effectiveness.

  • Quantitative Data: Numerical data is collected through surveys, assessments, and other structured tools.
  • Qualitative Data: In-depth insights and perspectives are gathered through interviews, focus groups, and case studies.
  • Baseline Data: Baseline data is collected at the outset of the program to establish benchmarks.
  • Routine Data Collection: Ongoing data collection occurs throughout program implementation to track progress.
