Capacity Building
Recognizing the importance of human capital, LGO invest in building the capacity of staff and partners involved in M&E activities. Through training and support initiatives, organizations empower individuals to effectively carry out monitoring and evaluation tasks.
- Training and Support: Providing staff and partners with the necessary skills and knowledge to collect, analyze, and report on data.
- Knowledge Sharing: Facilitating opportunities for staff to share knowledge and experiences, fostering a culture of learning and improvement within the organization.
In this way, each phase of the M&E process contributes to the overall effectiveness and impact of NGO programs, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently and that interventions are responsive to the needs of the communities they serve.
Challenges and Overcoming Them:
Operating in Afghanistan presents unique challenges to M&E efforts. Limited access to certain regions, cultural sensitivities, and political instability can all pose obstacles to data collection. However, LGO is committed to overcoming these challenges. We adapt our M&E approaches to ensure they are culturally appropriate, secure, and effective in the Afghan context. We may partner with local organizations or employ innovative data collection methods to ensure we capture a comprehensive picture of our programs’ impact.
Investing in a Culture of M&E:
LGO views M&E not just as a system, but as a culture of continuous learning and improvement. By rigorously monitoring and evaluating our programs, we ensure we are delivering the best possible results for the Afghan people. We are committed to transparency, accountability, and maximizing the impact of every dollar donated.
